Featured Object: Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635)

The Bubble Nebula (NGC 7635) is an emission nebula located approximately 7,100 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.

At its center is a massive, young star whose powerful stellar winds are blowing an enormous bubble into the surrounding cloud of gas and dust. The bubble itself spans roughly 10 light-years across.

Captured through my telescope over multiple hours, this image reveals the delicate structure surrounding the bright central star. The glowing gas is part of an active region where the energy from young stars continues to shape the surrounding interstellar environment.

The Bubble Nebula is a beautiful reminder that stars don't simply exist within their surroundings. They can actively shape them, sculpting enormous structures across space over thousands of years.
